The Freedom Hotel is located in a unique area in the city center and is a 10-minute walk from iconic sites such as Rif Fort, the floating Queen Emma Bridge, the Kura Hulanda Village, and the colored buildings of the Handelskade.

Reception

The reception at The Freedom Hotel will be open from 7.30 am till 10:00 pm every day. After 10:00 pm we have security walking around on the property in case any emergency.

Breakfast is open from 07:30 - 10:30

Parking

Our parking lot is located in front of our reception, in the corner of Frederikstraat and Arubastraat. Please feel free to park your car in any spot. We kindly ask you to inform our Front Desk the plate number.

Check-Out

Our room check out time is at 12.00 pm. If you are interested in a late check out that is possible by asking at our reception on the same day of check out if there is availability for your room. Our late check out fee is USD 10 per hour and the limit check- out time will be 5.00 pm.

Pool & Beach Towels

Our pool is open from 8.00 am to 7.00 pm. We offer fresh pool/beach towels daily at the Front Desk. For unreturned towels, there will be a $30 charge per count at checkout.

Bank / ATM

MADURO & Curiel’s Bank in Otrobanda offers all bank services & Banco di caribe (BDC).

Room Key

This key gives you access to enter and leave the hotel and your room. Upon leaving the premises, please make sure that all doors are closed behind you. Please note that in case of loss, there is a charge of $25 per key.

Security

We have security on our side the whole day, after the reception closing hours, you can contact the security if you have any questions or emergency.

Room info

The Freedom Hotel wants to contribute to the protection of the environment and we try to participate by:

Changing linen and towels every 3 days, if you would like an extra change, please let us know.

If you need a room towel change, please leave the used ones on the floor.

Please think about the environment and turn off the AC and lights when you leave your room. Our housekeeping will turn these off after cleaning the rooms.

Daily housekeeping could pass by between 10 am and 4 pm.

If you would not like housekeeping in your room, please let the lobby know in advance.

We offer 110-volt outlets in all rooms.

Please note that The Freedom Hotel is not responsible for any valuables missing from your room.

House Rules

To make your stay more pleasurable we have come with some basic house rules:

The Freedom Hotel is a non-smoking hotel. We have a designated Smoking Area in the back of our Pool Area. Failure to comply with this rule results in a $150 fine.

Animals and pets are not allowed.

Please do not hang anything (i.e., towels, clothing) over the railing or balconies.

Jumping and diving are not allowed in the pool.

Swimming in the pool is at your own risk, as there are no lifeguards.

The Freedom Hotel is located in old historic buildings, so please do not play any loud music or any other loud sounds after 9 pm. Be considerate of other guests.

Please try to refrain from throwing any paper, tampons, sanitary towels, pads or wipes in the toilet. Use the waste baskets in the bathrooms, housekeeping will empty them every day. 

If you expect visitors, please let us know in advance. Register their names at Front Office and ID will be required. 

It is not permitted to use or sell drugs in our hotel.

We do not tolerate any misconduct in our hotel.

In case of breaking any rules described above, our staff will politely ask you to leave the premises.
